Kids create 'cracking inventions'

Primary school kids across the UK have been getting creative by turning everyday objects you might find at home into award-winning inventions.

A pollution demolition machine made out of a grape tub and fizzy drinks bottles was just one of the winning creations in the Cracking Ideas competition.

Wallace and Gromit backed the contest to find the inventors of the future.

The overall winner was The Waker Upper 3000, which keeps you awake when you're trying to finish some boring homework.

Other ideas that impressed the judges included a dog exercise machine and a Helpful Hands hat to take the hard work out of reaching for the remote control or blowing your own nose!
