Have you been cyber-bullied?

Someone texting

Loads of celebs are backing a new channel on a video sharing website that's aimed at tackling cyber-bullies.

Cyber-bullies target people using email, text messages or the internet.

So have you or your friends ever been bullied in this way? If you have, what did you do?

Do you think cyber-bullying is harder to cope with because you can't escape the nasty messages?

What do you think would stop the cyber-bullies?

Unfortunately this topic is now closed but there are Comments pages on other subjects on the main Chat index.

Your comments

"Yes, I've been bullied and cyber-bullied! Cyber-bullying is a lot worse than bullying because you don't know who sent them and you can't escape!"

Betty, 11, Doncaster, England

"I was cyber-bullied by my 'friend.' She sent me horrible texts. Never delete them, show them to your mum, and if you know the person you she can show their parents. If you don't know them have them blocked from your phone or that website."

Stephanie, 13, Manchester, England

"I don't think anything could stop it. You shouldn't let them get to you if they want to be that childish to bully you over text, internet or email."

Paige, 13, Nottingham, England

"I have never been cyber-bullied, but I can imagine what it would feel like for you guys that have."

Rosa, 11, Wellington, New Zealand

"I was cyber-bullied by a boy once. It really scared me and he said he was going to get me the next day at school, but he never did. All bullies are wimps, especially cyber-bullies because they daren't face you."

Bethany, 12, Barnsley, England

"I think that if people didn't give out their numbers to everyone then they couldn't be cyber bullied. Just be careful who you give your number to."

Sam, 13, Southend, England

"Well I have never been bullied but I still think it is wrong for some people to bully someone else. It's just because the bully has some problems and wants to take it out on someone else."

Anjli, 11, Loughborough, England

"I have been cyber-bullied and verbally bullied. It really upset me."

Nicky, 12, Leicester, England

"I think it is wrong as I have been bullied, but never cyber-bullied."

Kirsty, 9, Edinburgh, Scotland

"I have been cyber-bullied once but it wasn't that bad, just a few insults and cusses."

Dylan, 10, London, England

"I think people who bully are not smart. They are not clever and if you know a cyber-bully TELL."

Jodie, 11, Lancashire, England

"I've experienced being bullied before and it's horrible. It was mainly cyber-bullying with people saying things to me, but I have told people at my school and it's been sorted out now."

Harriot, 11, Northampton, England

"I think that bullying is wrong full stop!!! I don't see the point and anyone who does do it is just jealous of you."
