Pandas trained to be tougher

A group of pandas are being put on a training course to make them tough enough to survive in the wild.

Four of the cute critters are being selected to be released from a breeding centre in Sichuan in China in an effort to save the species from extinction.

They'll be taught to dodge dangerous creatures and generally look after themselves when they're released.

Pandas are very endangered, and it's hoped breeding programmes will give the black and white bears a boost.

Last time a panda was released from the centre, it fell from a tree during a fight with wild pandas.

So the experts have put together a programme to make sure the next bear to be reintroduced to the wild stands more of a chance.
