Thousands of gallons of oil spilled into the sea off the coast of Russia when a storm broke up an oil tanker and other ships.
The oil and chemicals which spewed out of the stricken ships are a terrible threat to the marine life in the area. Around 30,000 sea birds have died.
Hundreds of volunteers and Russian soldiers have been brought in to try to clear up the mess following the storm in the Kerch Straight.
Much of the area is popular with tourists. Local people are concerned that holidaymakers won't want to visit any more.
The waterway is between Russia and Ukraine. Heavy lifting equipment has been brought in to clear up the oil which has clogged up the beaches.
These men are shovelling polluted seaweed. Experts have warned of an "environmental catastrophe".
