Smoke filled the air above east London on Monday when an empty warehouse caught fire. Dozens of firefighters tackled the blaze, but there were no reports of anyone getting hurt.
The warehouse was on a site in the Stratford area, being developed for the 2012 Olympics. But the smoke could be seen in central London - here's the view from Tower Bridge.
You didn't need to be up high on the London Eye to see the plumes of smoke. Tourists on sight-seeing trips must have been shocked!
For many people, it was business as usual. Central London's streets were packed with traffic...
But up on Primrose Hill, it was really peaceful. Check out that smoke cloud - although the dog's not too bothered!
Can you spot Canary Wharf in this picture? The crisp, clear weather meant the smoke could be seen for miles around.
