American rapper Snoop Dogg is hosting the awards, and the Foo Fighters and Mika are some of the top acts set to perform on the night.
Avril Lavigne, My Chemical Romance and Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls are also taking to the stage.
In 2006 Justin Timberlake took home the most awards, and the US superstar is in line for four more in Munich.
He's been nominated for video star, the headliner award, ultimate urban act and solo artist of the year.
Band of 2007 looks like ending with a rocky winner, with Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte and Tokio Hotel fighting it out.
Linkin Park could also win album of the year, but will have to beat Akon, Amy Winehouse, Avril Lavigne and Nelly Furtado.
