Carling Cup final eight decided

Scorer: Shevchenko

The Carling Cup battle is hotting up, with Wednesday night's matches deciding the quarter-finalists in the contest.

Chelsea were given a Halloween scare by Championshop side Leicester City, who were 3-2 up with three minutes left.

It took a late strike from Andriy Shevchenko and an injury-time winner from Frank Lampard to send them through with a 4-3 win.

Elsewhere, Arsenal strolled into the last eight with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Sheffield United.

Striker Eduardo was twice on target, with Denilson sealing the win for Liverpool with a deflected shot from long range.
