Press Packer Jess wrote to us because she believes that people don't think before they kill a spider and she wants this to change.
So Jess went to Linton Zoo in Cambridgeshire to find out a bit more about these creepy-crawly creatures.
And to meet some really big spiders!
"Loads of people are scared of spiders but I don't think that's very fair.
They play an important role in nature by cutting down on other spiders, insects and flies.
I went to a zoo in Cambridgeshire to find out more about them.
This is a BABY Goliath spider
I found out from Kim who works there that the Goliath spider is the world's biggest species and that some tarantulas can eat birds.
She said that a lot of people are mainly scared of spiders because they get it from their parents, who may have been scared as well.
Not so dangerous
I don't think it's fair that people kill these creatures.
They're still living things and should be treated nicely.
Spiders are not dangerous in the UK because we have the household ones. Although every spider has venom, only ones in other countries can hurt us.
I also learned that if you think there is a dead spider on your ceiling then it may just be the skin of one because spiders shed their skin like snakes.
Spiders may be associated with Halloween but I don't mind them all year round because they are works of art and they move so gracefully with their legs.
So next time you see a harmless spider, think before you kill it."
