NR meets Nancy Drew

Emma Roberts as Nancy Drew

The adventures of teen super sleuth Nancy Drew hit the big screen on Friday.

You may have read all about the smart and sassy teenager but for the first time you can now see the movie.

Nancy might be a straight A student but she won't let homework get in the way of her favourite hobby - sleuthing.

In the books Nancy manages to solve mysteries that even the police can't work out. The movie's no different.

The 16 year old Emma Roberts got to dust off her magnifying glass for the role and Ellie went to meet her.

How did she find playing such a famous heroine?

Emma: "Just getting to dress up as her every day because she's really different to me and dresses differently to me was so much fun. It was great to get into a whole other character. And also we did a lot of cool stunts in the movie which was fun."

Her aunty is the mega famous movie star Julia Roberts. Does she ask for her advice?

Emma: "We don't really talk about the movie business. When I see her we just hang out or hang out with her babies so we don't really talk about the business"
