Competitors go nuts for conkers

Action at the competition

More than 300 people are going nuts for conkers at the world championships in Northamptonshire.

Competitors from as far away as America, Brazil, Canada and the Ukraine have travelled to the village of Ashton to show off their conker skills.

The competition's been going since 1965 and attracts thousands of spectators to the village green.

A total of 256 men and 64 woman will be swinging their conkers in the hope of taking the honours.
