Children hit by other kids' crime

Kids

Almost half of you have had something stolen at school and loads more of you have been hit or kicked in the school playground, according to a big survey.

A charity asked more than 3,000 children, aged 10 to 15, about their experiences of crime.

It found they were often the victims of crimes carried out by other kids, but lots of them didn't tell an adult if they were hurt by other children.

Most of the incidents kids talked about happened in the school playground.

The charity now wants you all to be asked more about the impact crime has on your lives.

For the past few years, once a year, children taking part in the survey were asked about their experiences of crime over the previous 12 months.

Lots of them said they thought skate parks and youth clubs would help to cut crime by keeping kids busy.

The charity also wants schools to do more work in class about resolving fights without fighting.
