Potter wins big at film awards

Cast of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has won three top prizes at the National Movie Awards.

The fifth film in the series took best family movie, while Daniel Radcliffe bagged best male performance.

And his co-star Emma Watson took home the prize for best female in her role as Hermione Granger.

It was also a good night for The Simpsons, which won best animation, and Bond film Casino Royale which was named best action and adventure movie.

Daniel Radcliffe, who was greeted by loads of screaming fans on the red carpet, said that winning his award was "totally unexpected".

And Emma Watson told reporters she didn't expect to win either. She said: "I can honestly, honestly say I didn't. I didn't dare to dream. I'm absolutely amazed and thrilled."

She was there with her dad who revealed that she still gets pocket money even though she's made loads of money starring in the Potter films. But he didn't say how much!

The winners were voted for by the public on the internet, the phone and at cinemas.
