Paddington finds home in cinemas

Paddington Bear is making the move from the small screen to the big one, after a big-budget film was announced.

One of the people behind the Harry Potter series, producer David Heyman, is taking the same role with this film.

Heyman said: "Paddington Bear is a universally loved character and I have wanted to bring him to the screen for some years."

Paddington Bear was created by British author Michael Bond, who wrote 11 books about the homeless creature.

Paddington Bear famously came to the UK from Peru, arriving at Paddington Station with very few possessions.

He had only his duffle coat, hat, Wellington boots, a battered suitcase containing an almost empty jar of marmalade, and a label around his neck stating, Please Look After This Bear. Thank you.

A family called Brown decide to invite Paddington to live with them, not knowing how much trouble he would cause.

There is no news yet on who will be in the film, or when it will be released.
