Calls to ban models aged under 16

London Fashion Week

Models who are younger than 16 might not be taking to the catwalk after a health inquiry said they should be banned from London Fashion Week.

The Model Health Inquiry was set up to make sure models are looked after while they're working.

It also said that models should prove they don't have problems with their health caused by not eating enough.

But they didn't call for a ban on very skinny size zero models, which have been banned in some other places.

Big fashion shows in Italy and Spain have stopped girls they think are too thin from appearing on the catwalk.

Size zero is the smallest clothes size in the US, and is the same as a UK size four.

London Fashion Week bosses say they'll look into the inquiry's recommendations and think about carrying them out.
