Emu puppet making screen comeback

A pesky puppet Emu who used to be a big hit with kids is making a TV comeback.

Emu used to be looked after by a famous entertainer called Rod Hull, but that didn't stop him getting into trouble on TV by annoying all sorts of celebs.

He took a short break from his showbiz career after Rod died in 1999, but now Rod's son, Toby, is bringing a new-look Emu back to our screens.

The old Emu used to have to sit on Rod's arm, but the new bird will be able to move independently of Toby.

Emu's 26-part series, which is also called Emu, is due to start next month.
