Justine Henin has blasted her way to her second US Open and seventh Grand Slam title with a straight sets win over Svetlana Kuznetsova, 6-1 6-3.
The women's world number one hit winner after winner to go 4-0 up in the first set before Kuznetsova clawed back her only game of the set.
A few double faults by Henin gave her opponent hope in the second set, but it was too little too late.
Henin sealed her victory with a lob volley that left Kuznetsova stranded.
Henin first won the US Open in 2003.
Speaking after the match she said: "It's such a great feeling - my first win four years ago was an amazing memory and this is just fantastic."
