Enjoying the Cherry Festival in Spain

Press Packer Kate

Press Packer Kate lives in Spain and tells us about one of her favourite festivals there.

"My village in Spain has a grand festival every year.

It's called Fiesta De La Cereza, which means Cherry Festival.

Best cherries

Huge cherry lights get put up in the town square, loads and loads of fun stalls get put up, and, best of all, there is a funfair!

Only our village has a Cherry Festival, because only our village produces the best cherries!

Saturday is the most popular day, and nearly all of the villagers gather in the main Square.

Everybody stays out till really late, and a big band plays in the park.

Sweet stalls

Meanwhile, all the kids are at the funfair!

There is normally bumper carts, a big kangaroo which you sit in, bouncy castles, toy stalls, sweet stalls, and loads more!

I loved it this year, and I cant wait until next year!"
