X Factor and American Idol judge Simon Cowell is to use his winning reality-TV formula to have a go at making a film.
The movie, called Star Struck, will be set behind the scenes of a TV talent show, following the lives of 10 contestants as they battle to win.
Open auditions similar to those on the X Factor and American Idol will be used to cast the film's main characters.
Mr Cowell, who's famous for being mean to contestants of his shows, says he wants the movie to be a feel-good film.
He also wants complete unknowns to star in the film, which will start with footage from the open auditions.
"To enjoy the film, you've got to watch the actors and believe that they are contestants on a reality show," he said.
It's thought the film will be ready to release next summer.
