Ood aliens in Doctor Who comeback

An Ood alien

See the Ood in all its terrifying glory

Some of the scariest aliens ever seen on Doctor Who are making a comeback in the new series.

The fearsome Ood creatures, which were recently voted the sixth most scariest Doctor Who villains, will feature in an episode called Planet of the Ood.

They were last seen falling into a black hole back in series two.

This time round, you'll find out where the Oods come from and whether the Doctor and his new companion Donna will end up as their friends or enemies.

The Oods first appeared in The Impossible Planet episode, shocking viewers with their red mouth-tentacles and bald heads.

Writer and executive producer Russell T Davies has described the Ood as "the most brilliantly made monster in the world" and said he's delighted they're coming back.

The new series of Doctor Who hits our screens in the spring.
