The characters
When we saw Harry in book one he was a wide-eyed wizard. By Hallows he is naturally a wizard. Hermione was a know-it-all at the beginning and now she is more relaxed. Ron is as funny as ever and he has just got more mature.
JoJo, 11, West Linton
After reading Deathly Hallows, we can finally realise that Harry is not the little boy with the wand we first met in the Philosopher's Stone.
Paula, 13, Scotland
This year Harry becomes 17 and in doing so becomes a man.

Highlights
In every chapter of this book I was hooked, from the Ministry falling, to Ron and Hermione finally getting together. There was something for everyone's tastes.

My favourite parts were all the Ron and Hermione moments. The battle of Hogwarts was amazing.
Charlie, 13, London
The high point for me was the battle at Hogwarts and the final chapter.
Vicki, 13, Cambridge
The best moment of the book was when Harry used the Stone and talked to his parents.

Any weak bits?
The final "19 years later" part was weak and pointless.
Lucy, 10, Plymouth, England
In this book I was annoyed that Harry, Ron and Hermione don't go back to Hogwarts.
Ross, 10, Edinburgh
Some bits were weak and hard to understand, like the bits with the Death Eaters and Rita Skeeter's horrible biography of Dumbledore, but it happens with every book.
Georgia, 12, Plymouth
My only complaint was that it was too short!
Sophie, 12, Jersey
The weakest part of the book was that there was not enough humour in it, unlike previous books.
Abigail, 13, Stoke-on-Trent
I think the epilogue was rather weak and could've been better, although it did tie up all the loose ends.

Unputdownable?

I thought this book was the best by far, although it is very different, much more dark than the rest.
