The unknown actor who won a role in top London musical Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on a TV talent show has made his stage debut.
Lee Mead won the BBC show Any Dream Will Do and this is his first ever lead role in a major musical.
And his first performance didn't go to plan, as a technical problem after just six scenes meant the show had to stop.
But once the problem was sorted Lee went on with the show, and afterwards said: "That's theatre, that happens."
Lee added: "It's been hard work and it's a relief it's over. I am surprised how calm I am."
Top judge Lord Lloyd Webber, who helped write the show around 40 years ago, said: "It was fantastic. He couldn't have done any better."
Another of the judges on the TV show , actor John Barrowman, said: "Lee was absolutely fantastic. The public made the right choice."
Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical version of a story from the Bible. It tells the tale of Joseph, his 11 brothers and coat of many colours.
