Big profits for cash contest kids

Children selling stuff

Kids have proved themselves as the hotshot business people of the future after making a mint in a money-making competition.

Thousands of school children took part in the Make Your Mark With A Tenner contest.

They were given £10 and one month to make as much profit as possible.

One top money-maker, Fazila from London, collected a total of £410 with a doughnut-making scheme and donated her profits to her fave charities.

Lots of kids chose to give their profits to good causes. Others re-invested the cash into their project, or kept the money they made.

Money-making schemes involved everything from chocolate fountains and cake-making to salsa lessons and basketball coaching.

Kicking

Competition founder Oli Barrett, who made the £10 donation that started each project, said: "Entrepreneurship is live and kicking in the UK."
