Top writer Michael Rosen, famous for his kids' books like We're Going On A Bear Hunt, has been chosen as the new Children's Laureate.
The author takes over the role from writer Jacqueline Wilson who has held the post for the past two years.
The award is given to people who are good at writing for kids and who show how important books for children are.
Mr Rosen said: "I hope that I'll be able to boost all children's reading for pleasure."
The writer will hold the post for two years and has also won a £10,000 prize to help him with his work.
