Disney-style characters destroyed

Workers have taken sledgehammers to Sleeping Beauty-style characters in China after a theme park got in trouble with the real Disneyland in America.

The theme park in Beijing filled its grounds with costumed actors that looked like Disney characters for a week-long holiday celebration.

Disneyland isn't too happy and its lawyers are investigating the event.

The Beijing park said its characters were "a little bit" similar to Disney ones, but they were locally designed.

A video showed kids at the Shijingshan park in Beijing playing with characters that looked like Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto and Snow White, as well as Japanese cartoon characters.

A banner over the entrance said "Disney is too far, so please come to Shijingshan".

The banner has since been taken down and none of the cartoon characters are on display.
