Shrek and Donkey wanted for show

People making Shrek the Musical are looking for a Shrek and a Donkey to star in a big show being put on in New York, America.

The show makers want men aged between 20 and 30 to make a video audition to show why they should get the parts.

Producers are looking for actors with "a true rock or soul voice" to play the green ogre with a big heart.

Performers with a slam poetry, comedy or hip-hop background are wanted to play cheeky Donkey.

Shrek is one of the biggest cartoon films of all time and tells the story of an ogre who falls in love with Princess Fiona.

Based on the children's book by William Steig, the character of Shrek has already been featured in two animated films - Shrek the Third is out soon.

The stage show actors are wanted for performances due to begin next year.
