Doctor Who delayed for a week

Doctor Who may have defeated Daleks and conquered Cybermen but he's been bumped off TV by singers from across Europe!

Time Lord fans will be disappointed to learn that episode seven, called 42, is being put off for a week to make way for the Eurovision Song Contest.

The contest takes place in Helsinki on 12 May and will be shown live on BBC1. Scooch will be representing the UK.

Doctor Who bosses confirmed that the episode will be postponed because of Eurovision.

42 will now be shown on Saturday 19 May.

It features former EastEnder Michelle Collins as McConnell, the strong-willed captain of a doomed spaceship hurtling out of control towards a boiling sun.

The Doctor and Martha have only 42 minutes to uncover the saboteurs and battle a mysterious force starting to possess the ship's crew.
