Lightning strike causes huge fire

Flames leapt into the air

Flames were seen leaping 300ft into the air after lightning reportedly struck an oil plant in America.

The blaze started at the plant in Oklahoma on Friday. Officials said lightning was to blame.

Firefighters thought they had got the fire under control, but then two massive fuel tanks exploded.

The blaze raged into the night and the smoke could be seen for miles around. The huge plant is a busy place, making about 50,000 barrels of oil each day.

So far, no injuries have been reported.
