Pig power is on its way

Pig power may be the way forward after scientists have discovered a way to use pork fat to fuel cars!

An American company has announced that it's able to make diesel from a fatty substance that's left over when pigs are killed for food.

It says this is a more green fuel than the current diesel and could be at petrol stations before the end of 2007.

But while animal diesel may be an environmentally friendly alternative, it might not be to everyone's taste.

Vegetarians and some religious groups might not want to use the animal fuel, which can also be made using chicken and cows.
