Moose and reindeer test road salt

A moose

Moose and reindeer have been invited to a taste panel in Sweden to help decide which type of salt should be used to get rid of ice from the roads.

Ice melts when salt is put on it - but Sweden's animals keep licking the salt off! Road bosses now want to make a new type that doesn't attract wildlife.

The 14 animals will be given two salt blocks - one with a new sugary flavour and another tasting like old road salt.

Project organiser Frida Hedin is hoping the animals will ignore the new blend.

The sugar test will take place at the Skansen Museum in the country's capital of Stockholm.
