Vandals attack Hogwarts Express

The Hogwarts Express in action, before it was vandalised

Bad news for Harry Potter and his friends - the Hogwarts Express has been wrecked by vandals.

The train, which takes them to wizard school in the films, has had 200 of its 230 windows smashed.

It's going to cost 50,000 to repair so it might be a while before it can leave from the imaginary platform 9 3/4 at London's King's Cross station again.

Let's hope Harry and co have been listening in class and can work their magic to get it back on track soon.

Sadly, this isn't the first time the iconic train has been vandalised.

In September 2003, one of its carriages had to be repainted after it was covered with graffiti.
