The style

The man who came second in the most recent X Factor competition has taken 13 old songs and given them the Ray factor.

The old fashioned songs, known as swing, were Ray's faves while on the TV talent show. This album contains 13 songs which were once sung by classic artists like Frank Sinatra. Ask your mum. Or maybe your nan.

The songs

Eight of the 13 songs on the album were performed on the X Factor so you may know them quite well already.

Swing favourites such as My Way, Smile and Mack The Knife are all here.

Will you still be humming it next week?

These type of songs do appeal to lots of people so Ray could well have chosen the right sound for his album.

He says: "I was born in the wrong era really. Instead of blasting out dance music in my car, I'll have a swing tune turned up loud!

Will it make the charts?

Ray got more than six million votes while he was in the X Factor so there are a lot of fans ready to buy his music.

This is already top of the charts and it is likely to stay there for some time!
