Single review: Take That - Shine

Howard Donald, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Jason Orange make up Take That

Release date

Out now to download. CD single available on 26 February.

The style

Shine is an upbeat song which sounds like a mix of the Scissor Sisters and 1960s megaband The Beatles.

Band member Mark Owen is in charge of the singing this time round (it's usually Gary Barlow) and the song starts with a great sounding piano.

The words

The boys want someone to feel better about themselves and shine brightly.

"You only have to open your eyes, you might just get a big surprise."

Will you still be humming it next week?

The more times you listen to this, the more you will like it.

It's catchy and fun and may even make you do a little dance!

Will it make the charts?

Take That have just had a number one single and album, as well as a sell out tour, after being famous 10 years ago.

Shine is heading for the higher places in the charts to continue their comeback with style.
