Pupils banned from playing tag

Kids in a playground

Playing tag in the playground has been banned at a school in Lincolnshire because the teachers say pupils are getting too rough with each other.

Loads of you love playing contact games like tag in your breaks, but now kids at St John's Primary School are only allowed to play non-physical games.

Their teachers said pupils were copying violent computer games and TV shows which was making playtime too rough.

So now they are teaching the kids new games which they say are safe and fun.

Some people disagree with the school and say kids should be allowed to play contact sports because running around and falling over is all part of growing up.

But what do the pupils think?

One girl said: "The good thing is that lots of people can't get hurt but the bad thing is it's pretty boring at playtime and you can't have as much fun as you used to be able to."
