In pictures: Rottweiler is foster mum to lambs

A Rottweiler called Molly has adopted two young lambs called Lucky and Charm

A Rottweiler called Molly is fostering two young lambs called Lucky and Charm. The babies were born with some problems so farmer Maria Foster moved them into the farmhouse where Molly found them and started licking them like a ewe would.

Ms Foster said Molly helped the lambs, who were suffering from circulation problems, in the first important hours of their lives by licking them. She's been caring for them like a mother ever since.

The 11-month-old dog quickly behaved just like their mum would and is even keeping other animals - including the farm's cat and sheep dog - away!

Lucky and Charm are recovering well under Molly's watchful eye and are they expected to be released back into their field soon.
