Microsoft admit Xbox problems

Xbox 360

If you've got an Xbox 360 and it's gone on the blink, don't panic - the maker Microsoft has admitted it's having problem with some of the consoles.

The faulty Xboxes crash, then three red lights on the front of the console start flashing.

The good news is that if your Xbox has this particular fault, Microsoft is offering to replace or repair it.

Loads of the machines have been playing up and the company says it is going to cost more than 500m to repair them.

The Xbox 360 was the first of the next generation of machines to hit the UK when it went on sale in December 2005.

More than 10 million Xbox 360s have been sold since their launch and Microsoft bosses say most people who got one haven't had any problems.

But they've said sorry to everyone else who has.

"This problem has caused frustration for some of our customers and for that, we sincerely apologise," they said.
