Weighty walrus tries to keep fit

Seahook the Walrus and his trainer doing sit-ups

We're always being told to get fit and do more exercise, well now the animals at America's Sea World park have decided to get in on the act.

Seahook the walrus is just one of the park's attractions to have decided to do something about his excess blubber.

He even has a personal trainer to put him through his paces by doing push-ups and sit-ups, although swimming is still his favourite work-out.

Dolphins, pigs and dogs at the park are also adopting healthier lifestyles.

Spinner, a six-year-old border collie, has started skipping with his trainer, pigs at the zoo are snacking on fresh fruit and watermelon, while the dolphins and pilot whales are having regular weigh-ins.
