Bindi not forced to be a TV star

Bindi Irwin

Bindi Irwin is not being forced into becoming a TV star, the man in charge of her family's businesses has said.

The eight-year-old daughter of Steve Irwin is making a TV show called Bindi, The Jungle Girl for a US station.

Bindi is in America at the moment and is going to appear on some really big TV shows to talk about her series.

Some people in the US and Australia think Bindi is doing too much at such a young age, but her manager John Stainton said that's not true.

He said: "if Bindi doesn't want to do it that day, if she wants to go to the zoo or the beach, then that's what we're doing".

Bindi's dad Steve was famous around the world for making TV shows about animals and was often called the crocodile hunter.

He died in September last year when filming for a programme called Ocean's Deadliest.
