Game review: Shrek the Third

Shrek the Third game scene

This review was written by Ellie, 11, from Petersfield

Genre

Animation and adventure

Format reviewed

Xbox 360

Plot

The game starts in the land Far Far Away where Shrek is trying to find Arthur, Princess Fiona's cousin, to get him to serve as king.

At the same time Prince Charming is trying to storm the castle and take the crown himself.

Players can be all the main characters from the film including Shrek, Princess Fiona, Donkey and Puss in Boots.

Fun

It gets better the more you play it. Trying to get to the ship is exciting.

My favourite character is Puss in Boots. He has a cool sword and he's not clumsy like some of the others. He has a great accent and is quite cute. He can also attack quickly and can double-jump!

Playability

There is a long introduction at the start in the palace which is very confusing.

Graphics

Graphics are not stunning although quite realistic and fun.

Difficulty

I thought it was a very easy game and instructions are very clear. But sometimes it's hard to jump to places.

Hit or miss?

Miss. The game is a bit long-winded and gets a bit boring - there is too much fighting.

NR rating:

Three out of five
