Open auditions for Potter roles

Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter

It's the news Potter fans young and old have been dreaming of - the chance to star in the next Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Warner Bros are holding open auditions to find two teenagers to play the roles of a young Voldemort - otherwise known as Tom Riddle - and Lavender Brown.

Unfortunately, you have to be aged 15-18, but maybe you can persuade your brother or sister to audition instead.

Thousands of people are expected to try out for the roles.

Lavender's character is pretty lively and she's desperate to get Ron to be her boyfriend.

But she's also a girl with extreme emotions and tends to react to things by either laughing or crying hysterically.

Natural leader

Film fans will first see Tom Riddle as a 16-year-old boy when, not knowing what his future holds, everyone wants to be friends with him.

He's a natural leader and very charismatic, but staff and children are also a little scared of him.

The open auditions are being held from 10am on Sunday 1 July, for Lavender Brown, and Sunday 8 July, for Tom Riddle, at London's Earls Court Exhibition centre.
