A 12-year-old boy who used to be scared of getting his hair cut has given his fear the snip.
James Marshall refused to go to the hairdresser for 10 years. His flowing locks grew to a whopping 68cm.
The schoolboy decided to get over his fear by raising cash to help kids with the blood cancer leukaemia.
He had his hair chopped into a cool David Beckham-style cut, with the locks that were lopped off set to be sold at a charity auction.
He had a Beckham-style cut
James, from Washington, Tyne and Wear, told his local newspaper: "I asked for a David Beckham cut and I quite like it, I must admit.
"I have been growing it for almost 10 years now and I thought it was a good idea to cut it for charity."
His mum said she had no idea why James started refusing to get his hair cut, but added she was very proud of him.
