What do you think about the new Wii?

The Nintendo Wii games console

The Nintendo Wii console has gone on sale in the UK, to the delight of loads of gamers.

Most machines were sold in advance to people who had pre-ordered them, but some eager gamers camped out on the street overnight to try to get their hands on one.

So what do you think about the new Wii?

Perhaps you're one of the lucky ones who got a console? If so, what do you think of it?

Are you excited about the Wii's new style of play?

Or maybe you're still NOT interested and you're happy with what you've already got?

The Wii is cool, but I'd rather have an Xbox 360 or PS3. If I want to do exercise I'll go to the park and do it for real rather than just waving my arm about. It's also not very good If you don't have much space.
Alex, 11, Hitchin

I think the new Nintendo Wii is okay but there are too many Gameboys/Nintendos going on sale and it can be a waste of money.
Sophie, 11, Sheffield

I asked for one for Christmas but I would have to share it with my brother and guess what - he's after a big Scalectrix set so I don't think I'll get one because it's too expensive.
Amy, 9, Aylesbury

Wii owns! You can download old games from Wii channels which include weather, news and chatrooms!
David, 13, Liverpool

Tim, 13, Edinburgh

I like the Wii, I'm going to save up for one because I tried out my best mate's one. He got it on the first day it came out.

All games consoles are rubbish. Kids should be out playing sport or going out with your friends. Not sitting inside all day glued to the telly pressing buttons. It's just pointless some people need to get out more!
Em, 13, Portsmouth

Nintendo have came up with a good idea but I got an Xbox 360 because I would not be bothered to be active in all games, also the graphics are nothing compared to the Xbox 360.
Arun, 12, Belfast

I don't have one and I haven't seen one but they sound brilliant, a great way to keep kids fit.
Eleanor, 11, Ireland

I think the PS3 with its SixAxis will be a lot better.
