McFly's Star Girl hits number one


McFly have ended My Chemical Romance's run at the top of the chart with their new track Star Girl going straight in at number one.

There was also a new entry at two - from Dutch DJ Fedde le Grand with dance track Put Your Hands Up For Detroit.

Girls Aloud rose two places to three with Something Kinda Ooooh, while last week's chart-topper Welcome To The Black Parade came in at four.

Irreplaceable by Beyonce jumped nine places to make up the top five.

In the album chart, Robbie Williams bagged the number one spot with new release Rudebox and former chart- toppers The Killers dropped to five with Sam's Town.
