Winter the bottle nose dolphin lost her tail when she got caught up in a fishing net
The baby mammal was rescued from the sea off Florida and taken to Clearwater Marine Aquarium where her keepers nursed her back to health
They didn't really think Winter would survive but she has astounded experts by getting better and she has even learnt to swim again
But because she doesn't have a tail anymore she doesn't really swim like a dolphin. Instead she wriggles from side to side, a bit like an alligator
Experts are trying to develop a false tail for Winter to help her swim again. She might need bigger tails as she grows up - just like you have different shoe sizes as you get bigger
