In pictures: Ugly vegetable competition

This onion is one of the ugliest vegetables in England according to judges in a National Trust competition

Ugly fruits could also enter. This tomato scored well with the judges. and was grown from seed by pupils at Cardinal Wiseman School in Coventry

This potato was the winner in the 8-11 category. We're not sure it grew with those eyes though...

But this parsnip was the overall winner - it looks more like a monster from a movie!
