Tell us your holiday disaster stories

Many of you have probably been on holiday in the UK or abroad during the summer holidays.

But for some people, like those caught up in the fires in Greece, their holidays have not been so relaxing!

So we would like to hear about your holiday disaster stories.

Maybe you were affected by the airport delays and had to hang around for hours?

Did you lose your suitcase and not have any clothes to wear?

Or perhaps your family's car broke down on the way to your campsite?

We haven't really had a major holiday disaster but once we couldn't find our caravan!

Our car broke down on the way to the airport and to make it worse, when we did eventually get there we had a six hour delay!

We went to Bali for summer holidays and we stayed in a house but every night a rat would break in and would eat and wreck everything!

Our flight was delayed and we had to stay this really crowded hotel with no clean clothes because our luggage were in the plane!

When I went to Belgium our flight back was cancelled because a part of the plane was missing. So the workers at the airport had to drive to Paris to get the missing part and we all had to stay at a hotel overnight. The hotel was really nice though!

Last year we went to south of France. On the way there, the car broke down and we were stuck for hours in some garage in the middle of nowhere! We had to hire a car but my dad forgot his driving licence so my mum had to drive! On the way back, we missed the ferry and we had to drive somewhere else to get another ferry! It was definitely a holiday to remember but for all the wrong reasons!

We experienced the drive from hell! On the way home from the Lake District, it was freezing cold and the mist was so thick we could hardly see anything. It lasted two hours before we got back to our cottage.

In 2004 we went to Florida but it was about one or two weeks after there was a hurricane there so the TV in our room had no channels and it was really boring!

When we went on holiday and me and my parents had to spend a day cleaning out the caravan we were staying in because it was so dirty - it had spiders in it as big my hand! We went and complained but still had to clear out the caravan.

I went to Estonia with my orchestra. I was ill on the first day because I was really tired. I spent most of the day in bed, but my room was next to a building site, so I couldn't sleep!

We went to France and my little sister was cycling down a hill, when she fell over the handle bars. she broke both her arms and her two front teeth fell out. We had to be rushed to hospital in an ambulance.

When I went to Cyprus the electricity got cut off nearly everyday, the solar panels stopped working so we didn't get much hot water, and on the way back home our plane was delayed because of all the problems in Lebanon!

Two years ago on our way back from France our ferry was cancelled and we had to stay at a hotel with one double bed and two camp beds and there were five of us! My sisters had to share a camp bed and they argued all night. It was so annoying!

When I went on holiday to Devon we got locked outside our chalet for ages in the middle of the night as my mum lost the key! We had to go back to the club and find it but in the end we did thank goodness!

On a trip to LA the airline lost ALL our bags! After two days we bought lots of new clothes and when we returned to the hotel our bags were there! At least I got some new clothes out of it!

A few years ago I fell down stairs about 10 minutes before we were going to leave to go on holiday! I got concussion and my mouth and nose were swollen but amazingly we still went but we were two hours late!

I went to Guernsey on the ferry which I don't mind normally but on the way back it was meant to leave at 10pm but it was two and a half hours late so I was reading a magazine at 2.30am to keep awake. We finally got home at 5.30am - I was sooo tired!

I went camping two or three years ago and it rained almost everyday! Every time we hung up our towels to dry they would get wet again and the tent had huge puddles in it. It was terrible!

We went on holiday to a campsite which was down a very steep hill. We were OK getting down the hill but when it came to going back up the hill the car couldn't take it and we got stuck! A four-wheel drive vehicle had to tow us up - it was so embarrassing!
