Zinedine Zidane has been voted the best player of the World Cup, despite his headbutt in Sunday's final.

After Zidane's dismissal Italy went on to become world champions for the fourth time, winning on penalties.
The player of the tournament, who wins the Golden Ball award, was voted for by journalists at half-time in the final.
