Stars shine at Pirates 2 premiere

Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom
Fans who braved the heat in London for the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 European premiere weren't disappointed.

The three big stars of the film - Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley - spent more than an hour chatting to thousands of fans.

Security staff had to spray water over the crowd to help them cool off.

Keira said: "It's quite crazy out there. It's really hot and I feel so sorry for all those people who have been standing out there all day."

But Keira was sure they were there to see someone else, adding: "I know they're here for Johnny."

Johnny - who plays Captain Jack Sparrow in the film - didn't need water to keep cool, preferring a funky hat and sunglasses.

Keira also talked about doing her own stunts: "I was desperate to have swordfights all the way through and they actually gave me one in the second film, but I don't think I was very good. I didn't get as many as I thought I would.

"I really do love action and I think if you are doing an action film, you should do as much of the action yourself as possible."

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is comes out in UK cinemas on 6 July.
