The first reviews of one of the biggest films of the summer, Superman Returns, have been full of praise for it.
One said it is a "gorgeously crafted epic" and said director Bryan Singer shows "love and respect" for the most solid "comics superhero of them all".
Another critic said the film is elegant and sincere and cares a lot about the comics it is based on.
A top US film magazine said it was "a heartfelt Superman movie" that would appeal to a wide audience.
The actor playing Superman - unknown Brandon Routh - was also praised for his performance in the "iconic role".
Superman Returns is actually the fifth film made about the superhero and will be in cinemas in the UK on 14 July and the US on 28 June.
This is the first film about the hero since Superman IV: The Quest for Peace came out in 1987.
