Defending F1 champion Fernando Alonso has cruised to victory in the British Grand Prix after starting on pole position and leading all the way.
It gave the Renault driver his third triumph in a row, meaning he has now won five races this season.
Michael Schumacher of Ferrari was second and McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen took third. Alonso now leads the standings with 74 points, Schumacher is second with 51 and Raikkonen is third with 33.
British driver Jenson Button's hopes of doing well on home ground ended on the ninth lap, when the engine in his Honda caught fire.
The race was moved forward an hour to avoid conflict with World Cup games.
The Canadian Grand Prix is next on 25 June as the circuit leaves Europe while the World Cup is going on.
