Gnarls' ninth week at number one

Gnarls Barkley have managed an amazing ninth week at number one in the singles chart with their fab track Crazy.

But amazing as the newcomers' staying power has been they still have another seven weeks to go to beat the all time record of 16 weeks at number one.

And another newcomer, Sandi Thom, who was talent-spotted after recording music on the internet, was at number two with I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker.

From Paris to Berlin, by Infernal, managed to hang tight at number three.

Rapper LL Cool J, with Control Myself, featuring vocals from Jennifer Lopez, was at four.

Meanwhile rockers Primal Scream rose from 23 to five with Country Girl, and former Busted star Matt Willis' Up All Night was the highest new entry at number seven.
